Dottie’s Pharmacy is now accepting appointments daily for the Moderna and Pfizer vaccines. To book an appointment, please select the appropriate link below for your preferred vaccine. Please note: your second appointment will be scheduled while you are at the pharmacy receiving your first shot.
Moderna Booster Guidance
Eligibility Categories (per CDC):
The use of a single booster dose of the Moderna COVID-19 vaccine may be administered at least 5 months after completion of the primary series to individuals:
- 65 years and older
- Age 18 years and older who live in long-term care settings
- Age 18 years and older who have underlying medical conditions
- Age 18 years and older who work or live in high-risk settings
* Booster Dosage: *Dosage has changed from primary series
(The booster dose of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine is 0.25ml. This is one-half of the primary dose.)
Heterologous (“Mix and Match”) Booster Guidance
Individuals who are eligible for a booster dose may select which vaccine they receive. The eligible populations and dosing intervals for the heterologous (“mix and match”) booster dose are the same as those authorized for a booster dose of the vaccine used for primary vaccination. The booster dose (0.25mL) of the Moderna vaccine should be used whenever it is given as a booster. A different vaccine may not be used as part of the primary series.
Pfizer booster shots are now available. Please check the following criteria, and if you qualify for a third dose you may sign up for an appointment below.
CDC recommends:
- people 65 years and older and residents in long-term care settings should receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 5 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series,
- people aged 50–64 years with underlying medical conditions should receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 5 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series,
- people aged 18–49 years with underlying medical conditions may receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 5 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series, based on their individual benefits and risks, and
- people aged 18-64 years who are at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting may receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech’s COVID-19 vaccine at least 5 months after their Pfizer-BioNTech primary series, based on their individual benefits and risks.
